Classical Ballet Level 1

Ballet is the necessary foundation of all dance styles and a very important asset for any young dancer. This class introduces the students to all the basic barre exercises, center work and jumps for beginners. We work slow, very precisely and thorough on details to ensure proper technique and understanding. This 80-minute class is taught in the Russian (Vaganova) technique. Please join this 80-minute class at least twice per week to become a stronger and better dancer.

Classical Ballet Level 2

This class is perfect for dancers who have prior ballet experience and the desire to improve technically. Like the typical classical training also this class starts with barre exercises and continues with complex center work and jumps. This 80-minute class is taught in the Russian (Vaganova) technique. Please join this class at least twice per week to become a stronger and better dancer.

Jazz Dance Adv.

This very high energy and fun class is for dancers that have had previous dance training and know the basics of jazz dance well. It builds on strong technique, working on more complex choreography and fast-paced movement with a focus on developing style and facial expression. This 55-minute class is ideally combined with at least one ballet class weekly for maximum benefit and stronger technique.

Contemporary 1

This class combines the elements of several dance genres including jazz, modern, classical ballet and lyrical. Dancers love this style of expressive dance and strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid, strong and challenging dance movements. Students of this class will learn to use their bodies in a variety of ways, practice releasing techniques and intense athleticism. This 55-minute class is the ideal weekly enhancement of ballet and jazz classes, but can of course also be taken just by itself once per week.

Contemporary Inter.

This class is for confident dancers with prior experience and knowledge of dance. Contemporary Inter. class combines the elements of several dance genres including jazz, modern, classical ballet and lyrical. Dancers love this style of expressive dance and strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid, strong and challenging dance movements. Students of this class will learn to use their bodies in a variety of ways, practice releasing techniques and intense athleticism. This 55-minute class is the ideal weekly enhancement of ballet and jazz classes, but can of course also be taken just by itself once per week.

Hip-Hop

Step outside the box in this class and just have fun!!! Hip Hop is a high-energy class that combines the latest styles of street dancing, breaking and popping. Students will be encouraged to bring their individual style and personality to the powerful movements and choreographies. This dance style requires much strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. The 55-minute class can be taken once weekly and is a fantastic addition to the ballet, jazz and contemporary classes we have to offer.

Pointe (12+)

Attention! This class is not for everyone! The ballet teacher will consider certain factors such experience, strength, and alignment when deciding whether to allow a dancer to begin pointe work. In this class the students will start with the basics of pointe technique and when they are strong and stable on pointe they will start with more complex center combinations. The class is 40 minutes long.

Pas de deux (13+)

Stabilizing, lifting and turning the ballerina is what this class will teach. Girls and boys alike will learn the exciting technique of dancing with a partner. Prior experience in ballet is necessary and students must be able to take Ballet Class level 2. Pas de deux class is 45 minutes long and takes place once weekly.

Ballet repertory (12+)

In this class our students will be coached in various solo and corps de ballet variations that classical ballet has to offer. Like Swan lake, Giselle, Paquita, Don Quixote, La Bajadere, Le Corsair, Sleeping Beauty and so on. This 45 minute class is only for students, that take ballet and pointe class regularly.

Conditioning Class

This class is an important part of a dancers training schedule. It enhances athleticism, strength, flexibility and cardio vascular health. Conditioning class includes cardio, core/abs exercises, arms/legs/back exercises and stretching. We suggest this 55-minute class to be taken once weekly besides ballet and other dance styles to enhance strength, stamina and most importantly to prevent injuries.
